Windows 10: Whether there is downgrade right comes with Windows 11 Pro licence?

Our customers still require Windows 10 Pro, however, there is no more licenses available to purchase from the channel. We wonder whether we can purchase Windows 11 Pro license but install with Windows 10 Pro?

Windows 11 has downgrade rights?

Only if you own a Windows 10 licence. Windows 11 does not come with downgrade rights (not unless it was upgraded from W10 to begin with and then only within 10 days)

 

Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC 2021 Downgrade Rights for Windows 11 Pro

Does Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC 2021 come with downgrade rights for Windows 11 Pro? Am I allowed to use Windows 11 Pro with the W10 Ent LTSC 2021 license?

There are certain conditions attached with it.

1. Windows 10 Pro must have come preinstalled on a Dell, HP, etc. machine.

2. You contact the OEM (Computer manufactuer) about downgrading.

The following OEM versions of Windows software are eligible for downgrade rights.

Steps for an end user to downgrade Windows software

To downgrade eligible Windows software, end users must:

• Purchase a PC preinstalled with Windows software.
• Accept the Microsoft Software License Terms.
• Perform the downgrade process to the eligible downgrade product using the media/key from a genuine, previously licensed OEM or retail product.
