    Which driver or program could be the culprit? BSOD


    Windows crashing on Battlefield 2042. It only crashes on that game and nothing else. The actual BSOD I'm getting is IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL with the driver ntoskrnl.exe as the failing program. I've tried rolling back and reinstalling my graphics driver, reinstalling my realtek audio driver, and reinstalling windows with no effect. Currently I'm about to test if it was my norton 360 causing the problem. I've run sfc and DISM and it still crashes. I'm stumped. So can someone please help me find out what is going on.     BSOD- atikmpag.sys

    This is most likely due to an installation/upgrade error with ATI driver's. I suggest doing DriveSweeper and the following:
    • Drivesweeper all drivers & in Safe Mode
    • Unistall all drivers that aren't used in DriveSweeper (CCC Profiler Updates, MSI AfterBurner, anything related to ATI that use's it's drivers.)
    • After you do this, the first thing you need to do is go into Device Manager and Unistall your ATI Drivers

    Once your done, restart the PC and then try installing the latest drivers.


    I had several issues with this in the past, but I overcame it with logical reasoning and whenever I have a driver issue, I just use these steps and I always overcome the problem.

    Why did the startup window get cleared?

    I didn't missed any step, the list was gone and gone , even after using lot of programs the programs were not listed in that list.

    How do you uninstall chipset drivers?

    I'm installing a new mobo so I need to uninstall the intel 865g drivers to make way for the P35 drivers.

    Can't find any uninstall options in add/remove programs and intel chipset inst listed in driver cleaner.

    Any suggestions? *Confused Which driver or program could be the culprit? BSOD :confused:
