  1. Which folders are safe to move?

So I get a new drive, which is significantly bigger than my old drive. My old drive has all the folders (like user files, documents, programs, etc) but it's almost full and I'm hoping to move a lot of the folders to my new drive. However, I was wondering which folders would be safe to move and which I would avoid moving.

I heard that moving my program files (program files and program files x86) could be dangerous, as well as moving my user folders. I also heard that it's safe to move my downloads, documents, desktop, music, pictures, etc folders.

Which folders would you say are safe for me to move?

  2. New FF - passwords

    Hi:

If that setting is already enabled, then I suggest as the next troubleshooting step might be Mozilla Safe Mode (not to be confused with Windows Safe Mode)):

Troubleshoot Firefox issues using Safe Mode | Firefox Help

    • Please report back and let us know the outcome, as it will dictate the next steps.
    • Also: please tell us what AV/AM/firewall programs are you running on this system?

    Thanks,
    MM

Quick Access not searching Pictures folder

Summary, that last suggestion didn't work.

    • I moved the pictures to another folder temporarily.

    • Since there were no troubleshooting steps for this scenario, just for the heck of it, I ran through the restore steps. Copied some pictures into the Pictures folder, ran a Quick Access search and initial problem remains: Searching all of QA doesn't find any files in Pictures folder, running search on just the Pictures folder does. I want to run a global search and find matching files in any/all of the Documents, Music, Videos, and Pictures folders.
That article dates from 2015 and I'm guessing is out of date. I hope it didn't create potential future problems in my registry.

Bottom line: I'm still looking for a fix.
