Windows 10: Which is the Best App for Cloning the Drive C: Macrium, Minitools Partition, Aoemei or EaseUS

Hi Backup friends.I'd like to have another bootable drive C: on the ready but in your experience which is the best app for cloning the drive C:a. Macriumb. Minitools Partitionc. Aomeid. EaseUSc. Windows 11's built in mirroring/Raid 1 I heard it needs 2 backup disks, I don' have two external drives to back up toOther cloning app not imaging app like Rescuezilla- will need the backup drive to be bootable right a way, ready to go.Thank you, God bless those who backup.

First,I download a free tool of MiniTool partition wizard and launch it.

Step 1. Connect SSD to Windows 8. Install and launch MiniTool Partition Wizard Free Edition, select the source hard drive and then choose “Copy”

Step 2. Select a disk to copy the source disk. Here you are expected to choose the SSD (we choose disk 3).

Note: All the data on SSD will be destroyed, so make sure you have done backup in advance. You are allowed to clone a hard drive to a smaller SSD, as long as it can hold all data in the source disk. You can also clone SSD to larger SSD by using MiniTool
Partition Wizard Free Edition.

Step 3. Review the changes you are going to make and also change the copy options if necessary.

Step 4. MiniTool Partition Wizard will tell you how to boot from the destination hard drive. So if you are cloning boot drive to SSD, you need to pay attention.

Step 5. When you are lead to the main interface again, you can preview the changes you are going to make from the middle pane. (Here disk 3 has the same disk layout with disk 1.) If you confirm these
changes, you should click “Apply” to make the changes effective. Hope that helps

 

Why can't I clone the EFI partition of my NVMe drive to a new NVme drive(via USB adapter) on Windows 11 Dev Version: 25276.1000

For the past couple of days, I have been trying to clone my Intel H10 Optane 512GB NVMe drive to my Samsung 970 Evo Plus NVMe via a USB to m.2 adapter. After trying to clone over the disk on programs such as EaseUS Partition Manager, Aoemei Partition Manager, and Macrium Reflect, they are all unable to successfully clone ONLY the EFI partition. This made me suspect a bad sector, however, I have not had any problems with the booting or performance of my Dell laptop. This led me to suspect that it may be due to the Dev Version status of my PC. Notes:

- Both drives are formatted for GPT

- The Intel disk is started with RAID with UEFI, while the 970 Evo starts with AHCI with UEFI

- I have not run any fixes on the EFI partition yet, due to a lack of backup options

- Installing a new Windows 11 works on the 970 Evo, but I really don't want to have to transfer and redownload everything. Plus curious why this is happening.

Errors:

Macrium Reflect: Clone Failed - Error 0 Unable to match partition Drive 1, Start Sector 2048-Cluster Run Error. Unused cluster found in cluster run Error Code 10

 

partition cloning help!

Well I just bought a SATA seagate 320gb 7200.10 hard drive. I had to get a power adapter, but anyway. It's in as Drive F (did disk management). Now all I want to do is clone the partition from my old hard drive to my new hard drive. Copy windows and everything else over on my new hard drive, take out my old drive and then use the new drive as the primary C drive. I have norton ghost, and partition magic. I heard ghost is much better. Could someone tell me step by step how to accomplish this? I think I know how, but I do NOT wanna take any chances here..
