    I see a lot of people with windows installations in my PC repair business and hear what they like and don't like.

    I personally have used Windows 8, Windows 8.1 and Windows 10.

    Most people find Windows 8 almost unusable. I agree. It is a poorly designed toy. Windows 8.1 is slightly better but not a "serious" OS (serious = runs on a desktop or laptop and is used to get work done).

    Windows 10 is MUCH better than either 8 or 8.1. Windows 10 is ALMOST as usable as Windows 7 or Windows XP (was).

Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK
