Windows 10: Which one is it!? Duplicate accounts... but whyhow

Microsoft provided me with a pre longlistoflettersandnumbers@outlook .com long ago when I got onedrive b/c Verizon would no longer let me use Samsung cloud for my photos and videos and my media. I pay for the monthly 1 TB personal subscription. I tried long ago to change the Alias to use my Outlook on my Windows computer it never would work. Now I am The Reluctant owner of a 365 family subscription that is completely set my world on dumpster fire mode. Microsoft is now with my original name and account login name password address all of it created a new Outlook account that's a free account

Thank you for keeping me posted and I do apologize for the delay.

When you open the settings and navigate on the account settings, how many account did you see?

Kindly follow the steps below and check how many accounts is registered in your Windows computer.

Press windows key + R

Type: netplwiz

Press enter.

User accounts will appear, check how many accounts are listed.

If there are any duplicate accounts on your computer even if they use the same Microsoft account, then the duplicate account should appear on the list.

If there are 2 accounts listed, verify which is the duplicate account and remove it.

Kindly ensure to back up all your files first before doing the process to avoid data loss.

Remove account

I suggest you backup your personalized files first before removing the account.
To delete an account, follow these steps:

1. Press WIN + X keys and click Command Prompt (Admin) from the menu.
2. Type the following command and press Enter. Replace test with the name of your sister's account. Code:

 

Windows Live Mail duplicate contacts

Hi Bruce,

I understand that there are duplicate contacts in Windows Live Mail and I will be happy to answer your query.

I suggest you to follow the steps below to do a cleanup of contacts that are duplicated.

• Open your Live Mail.
• Click Contacts on the lower left corner of your page.
• Click Clean up contacts on the Home Tab before your name, this will lead you to connect on your web page account.
• Click Save.

Alternate way to clean the duplicates.

• Sign in to
  http://people.live.com.
• Click Manage towards the top.
• Click Clean up contacts.
• Click Save and continue button.
