  1. Which options do i have on moving all the files from an older SSD to a newer one

Hi,I've just bought a new SSD with 1 Tb. On my PC a Dell vostro 3681 I have currently a 256 Gb SSD. The issue is that I don't have another M2 NVMe port so I can just clone everything into the newer SSD. So I've had an idea: clone everything into OneDrive including the OS windows 11. Use my notebook Lenovo IdeaPad gaming that has 2 M2 NVMe ports, clone everything into the newer SSD, install the OS in it and then just plug it into the PC. Will it work? I'm really anxious with it since I'm struggling to find a sort of USB - M2 NVMe adapter so I can clone everything into the new SSD.

    :)

  2. What is the difference between newer SSDs and older SSDs?

How could I differentiate an older SSD from a newer one? other than the SATA II vs SATA III?

  3. copy newer file over older file

How do I copy a newer version of a file over an older version
of same file? It used to copy and replace automatically in Windows prior to Windows 10. Now I have to
delete the older file first, then copy the newer file to folder. Is there a fix or setting for this huge problem. (At first I didn't notice what was going on. I was updating my website files, but noticed that no changes were taking place when
refreshing the browser to see the results of my editing the HTML files. Then I noticed when I copied a file from 1 folder window to the main folder window of my website files, the newer file was not being copied over the older file. Why? Basically the newer
file was NOT being copied at all —unless I deleted the older version first. WHY ??

Which options do i have on moving all the files from an older SSD to a newer one

Physically move SSD formatted in GPT to older laptop.

Windows 10. Unknown version on the SSD since I cannot boot from it. I have two laptops. Laptop A is a newer laptop with Windows 10 that had a SSD upgrade but the laptop is dead now. SSD is still good and is formatted in GPT. It also seems to have Bitlocker enabled on the OS partition but is in the unlocked state. Laptop B is an older laptop that still works and was a Windows 7 machine. I am just trying to take the SSD from laptop A and install in laptop B. Laptop B says please insert proper boot device when the SSD is installed. I am assuming this is because the SSD is formatted in GPT and Bitlocker is enabled along with the boot files/partitions aren't correct. What are the steps needed to take the SSD and boot from it in laptop B? Please see attachment for partitions. Thank you!
