    While doing a repair installation I am encountering an error. Error code 0x800700C1 - 0x40003


    Okay so my computer unexpectedly restarted on me and I ended up doing the usual chkdsk and sfc scannow to take care of any file corruption that had occurred. Chkdsk got some it but sfc scannow wasn't working and DISM didn't help no matter what I've tried. So I used the Media Creation Tool to do a repair install. It did its thing but once it was done I encountered a problem. Some of the icons on the taskbar won't work and give me an error box with a red circle and white X on it. The box has explorer.exe in the upper left corner and states "Class not registered". Obviously the repair install mucked up somewhere. However, if I try to run the Media Creation Tool I keep getting the Error code 0x800700C1 - 0x40003. If anyone can help and let me know what i can do to fix the itwould be much appreciated.

    BIOS error codes

    So I have motherboard with installed small LED screen, which presents BIOS error codes.

    Where can I find a list of those errors. And I don't mean beep codes, but the "number" codes.

    Ex after installing sound card, the motherboard startup fails with the code 15.

    Error 0x800700c1 in windows 10

    I have got the error 0x800700C1 and could not update KB3115259, KB3167685, KB3163018 & KB3149135 since a week ago. I tried both you two methods but the result was the same. I don't wish to follow hbja to go back to "Factory Setting". Can you help me sort
    it out with other solutions?

    1511 to 1607 Update Error 0x800700c1


    I have Windows 10 Pro Version 1511, OS Build 10586.589.

    Windows continually attempts to download and install the anniversary upgrade.
    The download completes, but the installation fails with error code 0x800700c1.
    This has happened more than 50 times.
    (As appears quite common, I have never experienced an update error before.)

    I have tried every suggested fix I can find - nothing works.
    I have tried installing from 1607 ISO - fails
    I have tried installing using Windows10Upgrade28084.exe - fails
    I have tried letting Microsoft Support have a go - fails

    I am unable to find the meaning of the error code above, so there seems to be no way to effect action here.
    Does anybody have any knowledge on this one?
