  1. While running a powerpoint presentation i had to close my laptop, returning some time later...

After returning my lock screen was black without a cursor, i logged in blindly and when i did i was stuck on the wallpaper screen wothout any icons, only the bottom panel which i could see programs running, i could see what was happening in the programs thru the thumbnails. I tried WIN+CTRL+SHIFT+B shortcut, WIN+delete shortcut, WIN+X, U, U shortcut only logged me out and i tried completely resetting it using the power button, none worked. If anyone could help me with this it would be extremely appreciated Thanks!

    :)

  2. Assigned Access of Powerpoint Presentation

I was hoping that by downloading the PowerPoint Mobile app in windows store, that I would be able to use it to setup assigned access on a Windows 10 computer and display a powerpoint presentation. Our issues is, we need this to be a Kiosk that no-one can
close out the presentation. Powerpoint allows you to turn most functions off, but you can still access the ease of access toolbar, and can also close the presentation out. When I go to assigned access though, Powerpoint Mobile does not appear in the list of
Apps. I have downloaded other Supposed PowerPoint Presenters, but none of them show up in the list either.

Can anyone tell me how to achieve this! I do not understand how to setup the Power Shell code to set this up, too technical for me. But I really need this as Kiosk computer. Any suggestion?

While running a powerpoint presentation i had to close my laptop, returning some time later...

Nokia Presenter - getting Bluetooth working on a 6301 phone with a Powerpoint on laptop.

I have finally found out how to get Nokia presenter working on my 6301 phone and laptop running XP SP2 via bluetooth after loads of trouble where the phone connected OK to the computer - file/image transfer worked fine - but when I tried to use Nokia
Wireless Presenter software on the computer I could not connect - the error message 'Waiting for Connection' was always up and the phone always failed to connect . It seems that this problem has plagued a lot of people from the posts on this forum.

What I did to solve the problem : A trawl round the web eventually lead me to the company Psiloc's website - they produce the app that is loaded on the Nokia phones. I noticed that somewhere it mentioned that the software
only works with certain Bluetooth Drivers - Microsofts own - bundled with XP service pack 2 - and another company Widcomm.

My bluetooth dongle had installed Toshiba drivers from the installation disk .

So where I started from was

I had Nokia presenter installed on my laptop - downloaded from Nokia website for the 6301 phone + I
had a working bluetooth dongle installed using its supplied disk

I had bluetooth on the phone with Presenter software v3 already installed
Powerpoint 2003 on the laptop .

Step 1 - get rid of the Toshiba ( or any other ) drivers and Bluetooth config install - Go via Device manager - select the Bluetooth software and click Remove

Step 2 unplug the dongle and then plug it back in - Windows will now install its own Microsoft drivers. If it doesn't ,manually go back into Device manager and select the bluetooth device ( probably has a yellow triangle on it) and select
properties - then update driver .

Step 3 After install of MS drivers a bluetooth config box opened up - on devices tab click Add to run a search for your
phone ( Bluetooth switched on of course!) - it finds it and goes through the connection routine of assigning a passkey etc

Step 4 - On the COM ports tab note the incoming port number beneath the Outgoing COM 1 port - mine defaulted to COM7

Step 5 - Open Nokia Presenter on the laptop and on Preferences tab set the Incoming COM port to the same as the Setup eg COM 7 in my case.
Then go to the ‘Applications ‘ tab and make sure all the profiles are ticked ( not sure why but it would not operate powerpoint in my case unless they were)

Step 6 - On the phone - select the Presenter app and then Connect – provided your phone is paired with the laptop the Nokia presenter Icon will switch to ‘connected’ status.

Step 7 – Open up a powerpoint presentation on the laptop and it will appear in the phones screen as an option along with Desktop and
if you have Winamp or Windows media player open these will be listed on the phone as well and you can select what you want to remote control .Then you're away !! It’s a great app when it works .
