Windows 10: While starting up windows on a new laptop Lenovo LOQ 3i, a wifi driver did not...

When booting up windows on a new laptop Lenovo LOQ 3i 15, a wifi driver did not automatically install. With some help from the internet I managed to use command prompt to complete the startup without internet, but I now need to download one. I've looked in Device Manager and I have no wifi adapter at all. What do I need to do, and how can I download one on a laptop with no internet? What would be a recommended driver to install? If the image is attached successfully, it shows the network+internet devices for my new laptop. You can see the absence of anything related to wifi

Wifi speed on Lenovo laptop

I have a Lenovo laptop with a Broadcom wifi adapter, the upload and download speed has fallen through the floor along with network drops outs.

The laptop is running Windows 10 1909, the laptop is currently running Microsoft wifi adapter drivers, I have downloaded drivers direct from Broadcom but the performance was even worse using the Broadcom drivers. I have checked with the Lenovo web site and according to the driver support I have upto date drivers.

I have checked wifi performance using speedtest.net on my phone sat next to my laptop and I am getting the expected broadband speed. My son has also tested the wifi speed on his PC upstairs and it is only slightly less than expected broadband speed ( to be expected based on distance from the router etc.). My broadband speed is 100+Mbps on average, the laptop is giving just 10Mbps.

Can anybody make any suggestions on what I can do to get the laptops wifi performance back to wear it should be please.

 

New lenovo laptop will not connect to wifi

I have recently brought a new Lenovo laptop and have started using it.

Earlier today, it was connected to the wifi and allowed me to use the Internet. Now, it says the wifi is on but it won't connect to the wifi and will not let me use the Internet.

Please help.

Lenovo Z585 losing wifi after driver update, driver rollbacks, 'fixes'


Hi good people,

So, I'm on here like thousands of others with intermittent wifi issues. I upgraded from 8.1 to 10 yesterday and everything works very well except for losing my wifi connection every 30 minutes to an hour.

My wireless adapter is a Broadcom 802.11n
the driver I'm using is Broadcom version 6.30.223.256

I've updated the drivers and the same loss of wifi happens. I've rolled back the drivers and the same loss of wifi happens. I've even tried a driver directly from the lenovo site that is a Cybertan Liteon driver that is the latest version for windows 8.1.

I've also unchecked the box in the power management page. Then rebooted.

I've also used all the commands, in the command prompt admin that start with 'netsh'. Then rebooted. The same thing still happens.

So, I'm up for new suggestions including compatible drivers from different manufacturers.

I'm really hoping there's a Z585 user on here that has solved this issue. According to the Lenovo web site this particular laptop has the latest drivers on the site and none of them are working so far.
