Windows 10: While trying to fix the KB5034441 windows update issue, found I might have 3 more...

HiI've been trying to fix the KB5034441 update issue and the method provided was to resize the WinRE partitionhttps://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/topic/kb5028997-instructions-to-manually-resize-your-partition-to-install-the-winre-update-400faa27-9343-461c-ada9-24c8229763bfbut I have found I might have more partitions than I shouldand I was wondering if it was safe to delete the extra 4 partitions as it seems part of the repair is to delete the WinRE partition, by running "delete partition override"

If your wireless router has a built in firewall maybe it's somehow set to block the ports that Windows updates use?

I'd also suggest if it works with it being directly connected then you could try resetting your router to see if this fixes the issue.

That's my 2 cents anyways. *Smile

 

Windows update issues

It works, but I still need to fix it so that way I dont have to plug computers directly to the modem to get windows update to work. It was also blocking me from installing directx.

 

FIXED!! Windows 7 sp1 never ends searching for updates

Ok I did another reboot, disabled windows update service, did step 3 again, this time it installed an update, enabled windows update service and did a reboot and voila!! *Peace eace:
