Windows 10: White noise when opening and during programmes and audio/video files

I unfortunately uninstalled the "DTS Sound, Inc." driver on my Toshiba now Dynabook Satellite L12-C-104 under Windows 10. Shortly afterwards, I restart a music file and then I notice background/white noise when I launch the file and while it is playing. This buzzing stops a few seconds after closing the file and at the end of the playback.

I knew this was the problem because before I uninstalled it, I had never experienced this problem before. I should mention that I was listening to the music with headphones. I tried to listen to the same file using another device with the same headphones: the buzzing doesn't occur. I then watched an online video on my PC: the hum is still there.

I then tried to find a way to recover the lost file, except that I had downloaded something in the meantime. I was starting to worry that the file would be overwritten by the new data and be lost forever. So I opted for System Restore from a previous day's recovery point. So I let my computer restore the system overnight.

When I wake up, I turn on my PC; it was in hibernation. After typing my code, an error message says that the recovery was not successful or not complete. I quickly open the tool to uninstall programs, and the driver is back! I then launch my favourite music to test it. Silence is still as noisy as ever...

I restart my research and I finally find the driver on the Dynabook website. I install the pilot, test it, and there is still this white noise. I reboot my computer, I test again, they are still there.

I update all my drivers: they are all already updated. I used "troubleshooting": no problems detected.

I don't see where the problem can come from. If you have a solution, I will be happy.

White Noise on Video Content

As of yesterday when ever I try to open a video, you tube I am hearing a very annoying 'white noise' over and above the commentary or audio content.

This sound is even accompanying incoming email messages on Outlook.

I have run troubleshooter and restarted my laptop but this has not solved the problem.

Any suggestions ?

 

White Noise on all Video Content

For the past two weeks I have been unable to play any video content on my Laptop due to White Noise interference which is louder than the the audio content of the video.

This White Noise also accompanies all incoming messages on Outlook.

Can someone give a simple explanation and remedy.

The other sort of strange thing is that with the ear buds plugged into the audio port the white noise substantially stops but every now and then a burst of noise sounds. I'm haven't figured out why but it does still burst out with very loud white noise now
and then. The ear buds don't play the white noise at all and they will play audio normally when plugged in. Games sounds are fine, Pandora music plays fine. It has me buffaloed!
