Windows 10: White screen after windows updates

It seems KB5000908 has bricked my computer.

It installed last night, since then when my computer is started it loads to back/white screens (one black, one white). The cursor appears and can move over both screens.

Ctrl alt delete brings up the account switch menu, but task manager cannot be opened. I can reboot my PC into safe mode and that works.

From safe mode I've tried many things. Updated display drivers. Uninstalled display drivers. I cannot uninstall latest windows update kB500908 but I uninstalled the other one installed last night, (KB500808). I created a new account, it also loads to a white screen. Disconnected all peripherals.

I am not sure how to turn off startup services/applications from safe mode... They don't seem to appear in the startup tab of task manager.

I haven't installed or changed anything otherwise. It's just this windows update that was the most recent change.

I really don't want to reinstall windows. What a collosal pain in the butt that is. Then again, this is too.

Update: maybe somehow my user account is corrupt? After uninstalling all the updates listed since last night, the administrator account now loads in normal mode. The new user account that I created and my user account are both white screens...

I'm not sure where the newer version came from as Asus doesn't list that version for your laptop....maybe Windows update did it and often windows update is wrong.
