Windows 10: White screen of death after latest updates

White screen of death after latest updates

I'm having white screen of death issue with ASUS TUG gaming laptop, windows 11, here's how it looks like after login Redirecting, after recent windows update.

Here's what I tried so far:

ctrl ald del task manager does not work, the only thing I could do is open safe mode

1st time:

Tried repair - said it failed

Tried uninstalling latest updates - did nothing.

Tried restore point - managed that to work, copied all of my files just in case, ran windows update again then restarted, when booting up it said "please don't close updates are under way" - tho it was booting up as usual and there were no updates that were being installed it just gave the usual login screen, and after logging in got same error.

This time my desktop loads (except the bottom windows menu is not visible/gone) and everything looks alright for 2-3 seconds then the white screen appears again.

Tried repair - this time it didn't show fail error but still did nothing.

Tried uninstalling the update - this time it gave an error that it failed.

Tried restore point - 1st time failed, second time there were no restore point at all.

When shutting down it sometimes gives this error: ArmouryCrate.AppServiceBridge.exe - Application Error

The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000142)

There were 2 windows updates and one other update that didn't say windows but some other BS, here are the names of 2 of them:

2. What is the exact error code/message you receive regarding the Blue Screen of death?

I understand that you are facing an issue regarding Blue Screen of Death. A faulty device driver or system service might be responsible for this. Hardware issues, such as BIOS incompatibilities, memory conflicts, and IRQ conflicts can also generate BSOD.

The Operating System is designed to automatically receive new updates by default. We recommend not to stop the updates, since the updates consists various security patches and latest driver updates which helps to keep the computer safe and secure. Windows
Updates will eventually need to be installed and downloaded, regardless of your update settings. However, you may temporarily pause updates from being downloaded and installed.

White screen of death...

HI All,
I have a Toshiba Satellite A665. I't going to be 7 yrs old in Oct. I'm running W 10. Lately, it seems to keep getting the white screen of death and I can't get out of it. If my web browser is open and say playing my Pandora station, I will still be able to hear it just not see it. I've got everything backed up to the cloud and an external HD at this point. Not sure how to fix. I use Norton Anti V & firewall if that helps.
