    White Screen while setting up Windows 10 on a new laptop


    So my mother recently landed a new job so we bought her a new laptop, but when setting it up, right after the screen that says "Link your phone and PC", the screen goes blank, only showing the tab above that shows setup progress (In this case "Services") and options at the bottom for keyboard layout, volume and some accessibility options etc.


    She needs the laptop up and running soon, and I am at a loss. I've never come across an issue like this when setting up a windows 10 PC, and I can't find anybody else who has had the same problem before. Windows 10 comes pre-installed on the laptop so I don't have a booting device either.


    The laptop is an HP Notebook 15-db1008ni


    AMD Ryzen 3 3200U

    Integrated Radeon Vega 3 Graphics

    12GB DDR4 RAM

    128GB SSD + 2TB HHD

    Windows 10 Home 64bit


    Any help would be much appreciated

    There may be several reasons why your laptop's screen will show a plain white screen. To assist you better with this concern, kindly answer the questions below:

    • Have you made any hardware/software changes on your laptop recently?
    • At what point do this white screen appear?
    • Have you tried booting your computer into Safe Mode?
    • What troubleshooting steps have you done?

    Laptop with broken screen How much?

    I would like suggestions and look in local stores. I dont wanna buy a laptop from someone online. Sorry. But could be a good idea if you asked him about the performance on older games. Gonna make a list ofall laptops people suggest me.

    Remove the screen for space purpose here its small desk and if the screen is opened it will hide my 22 inches lcd

Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK
