Windows 10: Whitebox PC, purchased Windowss 11 license from Microsoft - where's my key?

I purchased Windows 11 Pro via the activation menus and associated to my Microsoft Store account. I receive the purchase verification email and see the order on my account. However none of the documentation provided shows my actual activation key. How can I obtain my key for backup before I do a BIOS update which wiped activation last time I performed the update? Thanks!

Transferring Windows 10 license to newly built PC, then upgrade to Windows 11. Original License key purchased directly from Microsoft.

Hi,

Long ago I purchased a Windows 7 upgrade license directly from Microsoft, and upgraded a PC. Later I built a new PC and was able to work with Microsoft to transfer the license to the new build. Over time, I was able to upgrade the license to Windows 10. That "new" build was 12 years ago and it is not capable of running Windows 11. (It does have a new/different license key than the Windows 7 version. I still have the original Win7 install disk and key, and I got the Windows 10 key from my registry.) The PC about to be replaced is still operational.

I called Microsoft tech support to see if migration to the new PC was possible. I was told that Microsoft had implemented a new policy in September this year that would not allow for a license key situation such as above to install and upgrade. I was advised to just buy a new license.

Was I given accurate information? I'm tempted to download a Windows 11 ISO and try my Windows 10 Key as some have advised (back in 2019). If it fails, I buy a new license key and move on.

Thoughts?

 

How to find license keys of Windows 10 purchased approximately 10 years ago?

TQ but I like to retrieve the license keys emailed from Microsoft at time of purchase. My account settings no longer list my Windows 10 Pro purchase b/c it only keep list of 3 months purchase....

Since my license is purchased, I should be entitled to transfer my license to another computer.

1. How can transfer of license possible in my situation of my two purchases of Windows 10 Professional ? I prefer to prove my license to 3rd party but Microsoft is not forthcoming how.
   
2. Is there alternative for someone who is more-than-average-fluent in Microsoft Windows but still need help in such seeminly simple task ?

MSN Music no Longer Supporting Purchases Made Before 14/11/06

By sending an email message to every one of its subscribers, Microsoft today informed that it will add some drastic music restrictions to the MSN Music service. "I am writing to let you know that as of August 31, 2008, Microsoft will change the level of support to be offered for music purchased directly from MSN Music prior to November 14, 2006. As of August 31, 2008, we will no longer be able to support the retrieval of license keys for the songs you purchased from MSN Music or the authorization of additional computers. License keys already obtained as of August 31, 2008 will continue to allow you to listen to songs on all the computers that you previously authorized for service. We wanted to send out this notification well in advance to remind you to backup your music and to provide you sufficient time to confirm license keys for the songs you've purchased from MSN Music." the mail says. The music restrictions do not just apply to authorizing new computers. If you for example upgrade from one Microsoft OS to another, you'll need to reauthorize all tracks once you install the new Windows OS. Microsoft launched the MSN Music Store in September, 2004, in an effort to compete with Apple's iTunes but after two years on November 14, 2006 the company started redirecting MSN Music Store shoppers to the Zune Marketplace. Now Microsoft is taking the next step by deleting its MSN Music license servers.
