Windows 10: Who is Ultraviewer?

Hi, when I was on my desktop earlier, the screen got several alerts from Microsoft saying to call a number which I did. A guy with an Indian accent by the name of Richard William and Microsoft Employee #9762 said that my computer, cell phone and home phone were being hacked by 37 scammers and they were from Microsoft & named Ultraviewer. He had me believing him and I went through a few things with him and then he said to enter my banking information on their black screen and log into my account to see if anything suspicious had gone through my account. I did check my account, but not on

You can try using the Geek Uninstaller to remove all the footprints of the UltraViewer app. Here are the steps:

1. Download and install Geek Uninstaller from their official website.
   
2. Open Geek Uninstaller and wait for it to load all the installed programs on your computer.
   
3. Locate UltraViewer in the list of installed programs and select it.
   
4. Click on the Uninstall button and follow the prompts to remove the program.
   

If that doesn’t work, you can try manually deleting the app files by following these steps:

1. Press CTRL + SHIFT + ESC to open Task Manager.
   
2. Click on the Details tab.
   
3. Check if UltraViewer is among the currently running programs.
   
4. Right-click on UltraViewer and click on Open file location.
   
5. Manually delete all files from the directory.

Teamviewer Alternative: Ultraviewer

Came across this earlier today, getting a quote together for a client. Anyone had a chance to try it out?
According to their site,
"UltraViewer is completely free

- Currently UltraViewer is completely free, whether you are a business or personal, you can use it without worrying about paying any fee".


The company has been around about two years, and software appears to perform most of the same functions. I found a few postings about false positives resolved by Mcafee and Avira, and some evaluations of systems after it was installed with clean results. Think I'll give it a try this weekend, see how it works out....

 

Is Ultraview a scam program?

UltraViewer is just a remote support software. Itself not a scam or harmful program. But the technician who contacted you may be a scammer. So do not allow him to remote control your computer if you could not verify his identification.
