Windows 10: Who permanently disabled alt-tab, and why do they still have a job there? I'm being...

I have witnessed literal children be fired from their job for showing up 20 minutes late.Meanwhile, this egregious example of agency is farting around Redmond/Bellevue, finding other things to literally ruin in their desperate attempt to appear useful. I'm not kidding: there was no excuse for this. Literal children, actual children currently learning multiplication, would have done better.Not COULD have done better, they literally WOULD do better - because they've used Windows before.Any 5 year old that's been fed within the last 3 hours: "If it ain't broke, don't fix it."Microsoft's response:

Disable alt+tab

This does not help because I want to use alt tab as a shortcut in VScode.

Now when I press alt+tab it registers as an unknown input.

How do I JUST disable the CoolSwitch tab functionality but retain the hotkey

 

Unknown task when switching with Alt+Tab

Unfortunately, monitoring the task manager for a long period of time is not feasible for me, as the computer is a tool with which I need to accomplish the tasks of my job. I would say the same about learning about all processes in the task list.

If I were to size up the options, my view is that Windows lacks the tools with which to practically track down the mystery item on the Alt+Tab list, with no identifying details. It seems to me that Windows 10 has been designed to work well only with the new format of the Alt+Tab list. No consideration has been given to its impact on the old formatting of the Alt+Tab list.

 

alt + tab not working

Just found a really cool way to make alt+tab INSTANT!!!

In the launch options write the following: -windowed -noborder





This play exactly the same as fullscreen but now you dont have to wait 30 f*@!ing seconds to alt+tab back in!

Also you don't get the little purple/black checkered effect (only in Source games) from alt+tabbing in fullscreen.
