    Who was the person that thought it was a good idea to lock the taskbar position on windows 11?


    Microsoft, can you please fix the taskbar problem in windows 11?Remove the design features. They are not useful and give us back the old taskbar, please.

    Lock the Taskbar in Windows 11

    My Taskbar buttons change position too easily as I move across the Touchpad and keyboard. I want to lock them so they stay in the same order. I would also like to change the height of the Taskbar as it takes up too much of my screen. I checked on this site and there are a couple of answers that suggest this is not possible in Windows 11. If that's the case, how is Win 11 an improvement on Windows 10.

    I understand the issue you have, there is nothing to worry I am here to help, you are correct, on Windows 11, we cannot change the position of the taskbar as it is permanently on the bottom, but nothing to worry about, we can change the size of the taskbar by following the steps from this link:

    Thank you for posting your query on Microsoft Community.

    I suggest you to change the Screen Resolution and check if this helps. Follow the steps below to do the same:

    • Press ‘Windows ’ key on the keyboard.
    • In the search box, type Settings
    • SelectSystem > Display > Advanced display settings.
    • Under Resolution, select a new value. We suggest you stick with the resolution marked
      "(Recommended)”.
    Also try locking and then unlocking the Taskbar and check if this helps. Follow the steps below:

    • Right-click an empty space on the taskbar.
    • If Lock the Taskbar has a check mark next to it, the taskbar is locked.
    • If it does not have a check mark, click Lock the Taskbar.
