Windows 10: Why a 30% price hike on Microsoft 365 subscriptions? With just a few days warning.

Here in Denmark I have just received a 30% price hike on my old Microsoft 365 family subscription. With just 3 days to cancel my subscription for me and my family. Why such an exorbitant price hike? It's not that the Microsoft directors are short of money? Honestly, I feel abused and exorted and I am not the only one suspecting Microsoft is trying to milk long time loyal customers. I am a lifelong user of Microsoft software both prefessionally and private, and used to the applications, but as a pensioner I do not have much use for the more advanced features anymore. But what to get instead? An

Office 2016 price vs Office 365 subscription


Hi there

It looks like that a Student and Teacher edition of Office 2016 will be available at around 90 GBP - 105 EUR while an Office 365 subscription will be around 60 GBP - 73 EUR for 1 year. Since the Student edition will work on 3 machines it seems to me the subscription model is bad value compared with Office 2016.

Now there might be a caveat -- not sure if OUTLOOK 2016 is included with Student and Teacher --we'll have to wait and see.

There *Might* also be an Upgrade price from Office 2010 / 2013 too.
