  1. Why all of a sudden, I cannot use the mouse from my laptop on my TV using the remote...

For the last 3 years, I have been using my Dell Vostro-15-7500 laptop and Windows 10, to connect wirelessly, and remotely to my LG smart TV OLED55BXPTA. There was always a delay/freeze for a second or two when I would click the check box: “Allow mouse, keyboard, touch, and pen input from this device,” and then I was able to use the LG TV remote control, as a mouse in the same way as I was using the mouse on my laptop.Today, when I connected my laptop to the TV wirelessly, although the check box was ticked, I was not able to use the mouse on my TV. The mouse cursor was displayed on the TV scr

Microsoft remote display adapter mouse misaligned on tv

Hi! Win 10 v. 22H2, S/W up to date. I bought the Microsoft Remote Display Adapter and plugged it into HDMI on TV. I also downloaded the relevant app and upgraded the firmware. So all is up to date. The adapter works, the image of the duplicate screen is of good quality, but mouse pointer is misaligned on the TV. That makes the TV screen unusable as a working screen. I tried various sequences of disconnecting/connecting again to no avail. From the official Microsoft community I only get "helpful suggestions" which amount to me doing debugging for them. Had anybody the same problem and SOLVED it? I'd appreciate it if somebody had an actual workaround. Thank you. Ziggy.

Using an old laptop as TV box with remote control

Hello. Before I ask my main question, I would like to tell you my problem. My wife did the mistake to show my father-in-law Netflix and of course he wanted to watch it on his large TV. But the TV is not a smart model. I thought I could fix it with a small TV box running Android 7 and connected to the TV with HDMI. Yes, Netflix worked with the TV box until my father-in-law complained it was in English only without any way to change the language or at least making subtitles larger. I thought I could just upgrade to the last Netflix version and sure enough, the language was automatically changed to Greek. Still no way to make subtitles larger, but they were better than the previous version. Unfortunately, this version required a mouse to work! You could not control it with the remote control!

At this point I would like to ask, do you know of any patch or other workaround to control Netflix with the remote control?

In order to save myself listening to my father-in-law complaining he doesn't like to use a mouse, I installed the old version back and explained he has to live with this.

And here comes my main question. I have an old laptop running Windows 10 that I can connect to the TV. Is there any way to control it with a remote control? I remember Windows Vista and 7 had Windows Media Center and you could use a special remote control. What about Windows 10? Are there any special remotes and software to use it similarly? I do have the Media Center remote control, but I would rather not give it to my father-in-law. Any third party solutions? Assuming I connect the USB receiver and I use the remote control, how can I control Netflix and YouTube?

    Thanks a lot!
