Windows 10: Why all settings of powertoys are stopped after computer restarted?

I set my mouse cursor highlight, did set powertoys as administrator.Though I have to turn on the highlight feature, seems that the setting didn't start automatically...

It sounds like you used the MSI installer to install it then maybe ran a reg cleaner or other system cleaner to clean up Windows Installer?

If so try:

Program Install and Uninstall Troubleshooter in Windows

Download the zip attachment.




Other than that try msicuu.exe and see if it lists PowerToys. If it does - select for removal.





Download Windows Installer CleanUp Utility - MajorGeeks

Then reboot and try running the PowerToys setup file again.

RE: Executor. It's kind of tricky to set up. Personally I'd let it index everything then disable indexing. Then re-index maybe every few weeks or something depending upon how many new programs you installed. Run as admin when indexing.

I am not able to uninstall PowerToys from my system.

I installed PowerToys via Microsoft Store. There are other ways and more information listed here, out of which I chose Microsoft Store.

However, whenever I try to uninstall it, it leads me to the Control Panel, which, as I said earlier, doesn't show PowerToys in its list. I am confused because I tried these same steps on my other Microsoft Store applications, and your steps seem to be perfectly applicable to these applications.
