Windows 10: Why am I getting a line of code instead of the intended document when printing

This has just started, printing code to my HP printer when trying to print word or excel documents. Please any help in simple terms thank you

1. Press control key + p.

2. Now select the number of pages you want to scale while printing.

3. Click apply.

4. Now click on print.

Windows 10 printing issue while printing picture from Document files.

Thanks Berton,
I predifine my printer as default.
Then I order to print and what hapens is that the document enter into waiting list file to print in my device.
Next, past few seconds disapears and the waiting list turns nothing to print.
I catch the properties of the document to print before it disapear. But I get no clue of about.
