    Why am I getting a message box "Set a password for your browser chrome lock" and another...


    Why am I getting a message box "Set a password for your browser chrome lock" and another line below that "please enter your pass code". I am unable to use Edge browser because of this message box.

    Is there any Browser locking software to lock down browsers?

    I did try that, it only locks the password manager as far as I can tell, there are no settings to keep the browser itself from opening and being used. So I'm not sure what the article is explaining.

    Hi,

    I understand your concern regarding the issue that you are facing.

    I would suggest you to try these steps to see if it resolves the issue.

    • Go to Start > Settings > System.
    • Choose Default apps, then scroll down to
      Web browser.
    • Tap or click the browser that’s currently listed as your default, then choose Chrome from the list of apps
