    Why am I getting Notifications From McAfee about having Viruses?


    Just a Short Explanation. I DO NOT HAVE MCAFEE. I HAVE USED WINDOWS DEFENDER FOR MANY MANY YEARS, SINCE IT FIRST CAME OUT. I do not click on those things, because they are Scam, but just want to know why I am getting them on my right side Notification.

    Yeah, thats not a solution she is interested in......I've suggested that course of action. Thanks though.

    Just to clarify, I feel that there MUST be a step, or series of steps to turn off JUST the wireless notification sound. Thats what Im driving @ here.

    Stop McAfee notifications

    My daughters ultrabook has Windows 10 on it.
    She does not have McAfee installed.
    Yet recently she started getting lots of notifications from McAfee, about 5 or 6 a minute.
    She temporarily solved the problem by just turning off notifications, but I am hoping to fix the problem so she can turn notifications back on so she doesn't miss emails etc.
    A search of her system shows no McAfee product installed.
    How can I find what is causing these notifications and uninstall it?
    Very frustrating!

    Yes me too! Only with my FB app which was already installed when I upgraded to W10. wont load and was removed from my Notification List, I miss getting my messages via notifications, I did all the steps suggested but still nothing
