Why am I having such long wait times in syncing my Wndows Mail box? It is taking more than ten minutes to perform the initial sync when I log in!???

Take a long time in sync.

my phone take a long time in sync. privious version is too good cz m sync more thn 2000 msg within 20 or 25 min. nw it takes more than 2 hours.. is any sollution than kindly provide me...thanks..!!!

I suggest you to run the Windows Store Apps troubleshooter by following the steps below:

• Type “Troubleshooting” in the search box and press Enter.
• Click on ‘View All’ on the top left pane.
• Click on “Windows Store Apps” from the list and follow the on-screen prompts for troubleshooting.

Also, suggest you to refer the link below and check if it helps in solving the sync issues in Mail App.

Actually this has been happening since the Windows Mail app was updated on 28th May. There have been a number of threads about it.

We are waiting for a fix from Microsoft but in the meantime you are welcome to try this workaround:

1. Make sure you have set up your Google account to allow IMAP access - step 1 in Check Gmail through other email platforms - Gmail Help
   
2. Set Google to allow access to less secure apps because Google now considers the Windows Mail App is a less secure app:
   Less secure apps & your Google Account - Google Account Help
   
3. Delete the Gmail account in your Windows Mail app via Settings > Manage Accounts.
   
4. In the Windows Mail App add a new account and select Other Account (POP/IMAP)
   
5. Add your Gmail details and click done. There may be a long wait while Mail syncs the account back again.
   
6. To check the account is set up correctly in the account settings go to Change Mailbox Sync settings and
   open Advanced Settings. Make sure these settings are as shown in the Gmail help from step 1.
   
7. Once completed you should be back to a working account.
