Windows 10: Why am I offered KB5005611?

According to the description in Windows support KB5005611 is only available for Insiders that are in the Release Preview Channel.I am not an insider. I am not on the release preview channel whatever that means. My build is 19042.1237 which is not one of the builds listed for this update. Why should I install KB5005611? Is it safe?Also cumulative update previews for .NET framework 3.5and 4.8 keep installing automatically, even though previews are supposed to be optional. Today update preview KB5005539 installed without my permission.

Thank you for your reply.

I am still lost but here goes:

• Only known “change” was starting to use Edge browser (which came with new Asus in May) in addition to Firefox. No earlier problem with new or old PC prior to late June.

• New PC came with Kaspersky with which I am uncertain after the contract period.

• Ads appear when opening email messages ( which are genuine) and must be deleted before continuing with the email. Sites are those I have visited for years.

• Below are samples of the ads and where possible their urls

• Only steps taken are to seek help and direct profanity toward whomever sends this trash

So, after installing it the computer hadn't "Devices & Printers", tried many solutions but none brought it back!

Then I decided to step out of Insider RP and did a fresh install of Windows 10 Pro 19043.1237





And, at least for now all looks good!
