    do you have to pay a monthly fee for windows 10 pro?

    If I bought windows 10 pro not upgraded do I have to pay a monthly or yearly fee?

    Rumors of monthly fees circulating

    I have heard many rumors lately about Win10 becoming a subscription service after the first year to "Keep security updates current" or "you'll have to pay just to use your own computer!" Yes even the later has been said. I cannot see this being the case
    but I would my mind and I am certain many other minds at rest, Is there any truth in these rumors and please don't redirect me to a video promoting Win10. I am a diehard Windows user and am looking forward to the newest OS from Microsoft however I cannot condone
    a monthly service fee to update my computer.

    I am 82 years old and need to speak verbally with a live person. I have been a Microsoft customer for years. why do I have to pay for help? I already pay you monthly
