    I am receiving a notification from Microsoft that my account requires attention.     Microsoft account attention required

    Hi so I just got a new Nokia Lumia 635 and at first everything was going great but then it said that my outlook password is expired and needs to be changed. So i did that but then it kept saying that outlook needs my attention so when i went to settings>emails+accounts
    and clicked on microsoft account with attention required underneath it changed to syncing then went back to attention required. please help

    Microsoft account attention required

    Did you update the password on your device?

    If you changed the password to your Microsoft account, the phone's verification will expire within a few hours.

    You can also try to force it by holding down your finger on the account in question and choose "sync". This should trigger an "attention required" message and tapping the account will bring up the password screen.

    Under WP8.1, you no longer need an app password. WP8.1 supports two-factor authentication and will prompt for a code when needed.

    Attention required message under email account, cannot send and receive mail from a linked account

    Hi Sharon,

    You might not been able to send or receive an email due to a misconfigured account settings. For us to isolate the issue, we would like to ask the following questions below:

    • Which application or program are you using to access your email?
    • Have you encountered any error message?
    • What troubleshooting steps have you done so far?

    If you are using the Windows 10 Mail app, we suggest that you remove your email account and re-add it.

    We will wait for your response.
