Windows 10: Why am I receiving kernel errors and numerous others on a clean install of Win 11 Home

So I’ve obviously been hacked as I have discovered a root.kit installed on multiple devices now and on my gaming desktop I tried to do a clean wipe of the hard drives and 2xM.2 1TB & 2TB, 1TB SSD, 2TB HDD running an i5-13400F RTX 4060 32GB DDR5 RAM. I tried to go through bios and sanitize each drive before installing and I guess was unsuccessful as yet again I’m installing from another rooted computer can someone help me I’m becoming very discouraged and will provide any thing needed upon request. Receiving errors when installing 1607

I received suggestions to uninstall the updates and thry and reinstall and to try and install after a clean boot. Neither one of these worked. Neither KB321120 or KB3213986 were listed to uninstall. When I did the clean
boot and tried the installation I received the same errors 0x8e5e03fa. The errors occurred after it showed 8% downloaded. I welcome other suggestions.

 

Clean install of win 11 pro

I have a laptop running with a digital licence for Win10 Pro. The laptop originally came with Win 10 home but I upgraded to win 10 pro using a key from a win 7 ultimate dvd.

Windows update tells me I can update to win 11 pro from my present install and acquire a digital licence from MS.

My potential issue after doing so would be, if I wanted to do a clean Win 11 Pro install after getting the digital licence (for win11 pro) I suspect the install would read the bios key and install Win 11 home and not Pro. Apparently Win 7 keys are no longer valid for the Win 10 and 11 upgrades.

My question then becomes what steps do I follow to do a clean Win11 Pro install on this laptop bearing in mind the system came with Win10 Home.

Clean Install Workaround for Vista

You may remember this news story on techPowerUp! a couple of days ago relating to the lack of clean installs when using the Upgrade Editions of Vista, which required an old OS to be installed. However, Paul Thurrott has managed to find a workaround for this issue, which ironically lets users do a clean install Vista without any previous version of Windows, albeit a little tedious. Here are the steps:

• Boot from the Windows Vista Upgrade DVD as normal
• When prompted for a product code, leave this blank
• Select the version of Vista you have purchased and let Vista install
• When you boot to your desktop for the first time, run the Vista setup from Windows
• This time enter your product key
• When asked whether you want to do an Upgrade of Custom install, select custom and choose a clean install
• Windows will now install for a second time and you should be able to activate it

Remember, these steps are only advised for use in order to achieve a clean install of Vista, it is only legal to use the upgrade editions if you have previously purchased the appropriate version of Windows.
