Windows 10: Why am I required to change my pin every 3 months?

I am told that "my organization" requires me to change my PIN every three months. How can I change the length in between the changes? Every three months is too much.

PIN Requirements

A month after updating to Windows 11, I got a notification stating that my organization requires I change my Pin code. This is a personal computer and no organization is involved. I don't want to have to change the Pin every month, but can't find where to change this requirememt. I also want to have a Pin number that is only 4 characters instead of 5. Where do I change these settings.

PIN change required by organization on Windows 10 Home

Recently Windows has required me to change my pin 3 times in the last 4 months. I had a PIN I liked forever and I used it. Then, I sign in and get a notification saying, "Your organization requires you to change your PIN to 6 digits." I did not want to do this, but I was forced too. Today it forced me to change my pin AGAIN! I have looked this question up and it comes up with solutions only for Windows 10 PRO or Enterprise. I am on Windows 10 Home so I do not have the group policy editor to change the PIN complexity requirements. I only have one account signed in that I use and it has admin privileges.. How do I make it so I can use a 4 digit long PIN that does not force me to change it on Windows 10 Home?

I suggest you to follow the below steps how to Change PIN password:

• In the search box, type settings.
• Then Click on accounts.
• Then on the left hand side click on sign in options.
• Then you can Select Change PIN password and remove the pin.
