Windows 10: Why am I seemingly randomly getting green dots on selected themes on Windows 11?

Hey everybody,I hope you are doing well!Since I got my new PC few Weeks ago I am getting green dots all over my Screen, but only when Windows native programs are visible e.g. Desktop or Taskbar.Furthermore these green dots only appear sometimes after starting up my computer and are only seeable on my screen.The strange part is that if I have any non Windows program active on screen e.g. Browser or Games there are no green pixels, at all.Additionally the Pixels only appear on selected themes.I have tried to update my graphics drivers and I've also updated Windows.I've also bought new Displa

Hi,

I have a sony vaio e series laptop with windows 10 installed.

Screen was showing green dots but it was working fine and then i got blue screen few times as soon as logged in.

So i tried to boot in safe mode. In safe mode, also i have green dots on screen and brightness is set to highest.

Now i am not able to diagnose the problem is it with graphics card or with screen. I think problem is with graphics card as green dots are present also while vaio logo is displayed while booting.

Due to lockdown can't get it to service center.

Please help or any suggestions would be appreciated.

What error do you receive while trying to download themes?

I would suggest you to follow the steps and check if it helps:

          Right click on the desktop screen and select
          Personalize.
          
        • 
          Select themes from the left side of the page.
          
        • 
          Next select Themes settings.
          
        • 
          Select Get more Themes online.

Win-10 themes keep changing

Thank you for providing the information.

• Did you try the steps suggested by Suvarna Govinda above, what was the result?

As I understand the issue, Themes in Windows doesn't have the options to change on its own. Only the Wallpapers in the themes can change as selected ( Picture, Solid color and Slide Show ).

I would suggest you to make us understand that if the Wallpapers are changing in Theme which you have selected.

Below are the steps you can check if it helps.

• Press Windows + I keys and select Personalization.
• Select Theme and select the Default theme.
• Select the Desktop Background below and select the Picture
  and save it and check.
