Windows 10: Why am I still getting updates published after Windows 7's EOL?

Windows 7 Updates - Microsoft should allow updates up to EOL

Have you tried it? I have. A clean Windows 7 install, and found all necessary updates in Windows Update and fully updated to EOL date. Also update Security Essentials virus signatures almost daily.

In fact, you can still clean install Windows XP and still get updates through Microsoft Update to EOL for WinXP.

You can still update Win7 to EOL.

 

How do I unblock a publisher in windows 10?

I have gone through the steps as suggested above BUT interestingly don't see an publisher listed under the "Untrusted Publishers" but still get the same error box as shared above.

Windows 7 EOL and KMS

Short answer:

EOL of Windows 7 won't affect the activation status or VL validity. So, as long as the KMS server is accessible on the network, the Windows 7 PCs within the network and still connected to it will continue to reactivate when due as normal.
