Windows 10: Why am I Unable to run apps in latest windows update

I am confused as to whether windows was updated on my computer on 22.02020.


In windows update it states;

Feature updates to windows 10 1909 Downloading 0%

In update view it states that windows 10 1909 was installed successfully.



The problem that I am experiencing is that none of my apps will now open. They were all working fine in the previous version of windows 10.

I get an error message from One drive stating that I don't have permission and an on screen error it states that app isn't designed to run in windows 10 and to try reinstalling the program. Error status 0xc000012f. I've reinstalled the app and still get the same error message.

I have tried 2 other apps and get the same message.

I've tried to rollback the update but one isn't available. The previous one was more than 10 days ago 12.10.2020


How do I correct this?

I am extremely angry as I need access to my apps so that I can print and make images for the handcrafts that I make for my businesss. I was supposed to be doing this today. As it is I am extremely worried that I have lost all my files as I can't open them in the required apps.

Wouldn't it be more useful to make older versions available until the following update is successfully installed rather than limiting it to 10 days. As it is, through no fault of my own, I am unable to make my products and sell them. I am now loosing money, which I can't afford to do?

Sorry for the late response. If the above steps did not work, let's try another troubleshooting step. You can try the suggestion by Linley Meslier above and see if it will resolve the issue. If not, try resetting Windows Store cache. Follow the steps below:

• Click on Cortana.
• Type WSreset.exe, then click it.
• The Store app and a command prompt will open without any messages and it will automatically close when the process is done.
• Restart the computer.

After doing the steps, try running Windows Store again and see if you can do an update.

Windows Store Apps will not install after latest Windows Update

If you have installed any third party antivirus software, ensure that it should not be blocking Windows store services.

I suggest you to follow the below methods and check if it helps.

Step 1: I suggest you to install all the latest pending Windows updates as below and check if it helps.

• Go to “settings” and click on “update and security”.
• Under tab “Windows update”, click on the icon “check for updates”.
• Then once you find the pending updates install it and check.

Method 2: I suggest you to check whether the Windows store service is stopped or running as below and check if it helps.

• Press Windows key + R from the Keyboard.
• Type services.msc and hit Enter.
• In the Services Window, look for Windows Store Service and Stop it.
• Restart the computer and Start the Windows Store Service.
• Restart the computer and it check if it works.
