Windows 10: Why and how can I recover this evil that was forced upon me?

I transferred all of my photos from an old computer to a new computer. All of the organized folders with pictures are gone. All of the photos were absorbed by this Photo App. I had no idea that this would happen. Twenty years of photo organization gone. Without my knowledge or consent. So, upset. We have not/do not want to store anything on Microsoft's One Drive. Our photos and documents belong to us, not them.

Windows 10 - Forced Updates are evil

Dear Micorsoft.

(I was advised this where I can provide feedback to Microsoft).

The whole idea of rolling out forced updates on Windows 10 machines is stupid and evil.

I was forced to reinstall windows 10 on two computers in my family simply because the massive November 2015 update broke something. Forced updates slow down computers, cause significant performance issues whilst updating and simply waste our time.

In semi-primitive countries like Australia, we deal with "capped" download data limits. If we exceed our data limits because Microsoft decided that they would force update computers, we can be excess billed by our ISPs or have our data speeds cut from a
blistering 5 Mbps to 14.4 Kbps. No. I cannot take five computers from my house to a "free" internet location to download 3GB each! I just downloaded 3GB each a couple of months ago!.

To put this into an analogy that your policy makers may understand:

Would you like to be forced to shave everyday by your employer just because it's "good for you"? if not then please don't force your users to download gigabytes of updates.

Leave that to Apple who always like to dictate to their users what they shall use.

I have no hope that anyone from Microsoft will actually read this post. I am resigned to eventually moving away from Windows when the pain becomes too much to bear.
