Windows 10: Why are 90% of the games that i've purchased from Microsoft not playable on my PC?

Yes, I understand the premise of the "Xbox Play Anywhere" service, but why should I have to purchase the same game twice, from the same retailer, and the same same storefront?I sold my Xbox recently, hoping in vain that Microsoft would at least have the common decency to let me download the digital copies of the games i've already purchased that are also available on the windows 10 storefront, but now I see that you just want me to buy them again? How is this even legal?

Store game not showing as purchased ... and not playable

My son purchased the Store game PuppetShow: Porcelain Smile. His account wallet showed that there was a deduction for the proper amount. His list of purchases does NOT show the purchase.

When attempting to load the game,he gets a dialog box stating "You'll need to ask an adult in your family if you can use:" <the game name>. This appears to be a common problem based on searches. This then becomes an unresolvable loop failure.

We need to have the purchased game show up and become playable.

Is the child signing into the device under your account with his own PIN number?

Have you checked your account to determine if the game is listed in your purchases?

Have you tried logging into your child's Store account using your PIN number instead of his?

To install a game on you need to make sure that you sign in on your computer using the Microsoft account that you use to purchased the game. To install a game on Windows 10, you may follow the steps below:

• Using your Microsoft account, sign in to the PC where you want to install your games.
• On the Start screen, select the Store icon.
• In the Store, select Games from the menu.
• Browse to and select the game you want to buy.

If you already own the game, you can install it on your PC. Otherwise, select Install to download and install the game.
