  1. Why are all my transfer speeds horrible?

My SSD as well as all flash drives seem to transfer at a crawl. I'm currently trying to transfer a 16GB movie from my SSD to my USB drive, and it's transfering at a measily 4MBps. I looked it up online, and th is USB is supposed to transfer at a speed of around 420MBps. I'm very confused. And my SSD as well transfers at around half the speed it normally should according to speed listings online. Here are my specs:

    GTX 1080

    850 EVO SSD 1TB

    Z170-A ASUS Motherboard

    16GB Kingston Black DDR4

    i7 6700k @ 4.2GHz

    Windows 10 Home Premium 64-Bit

Thanks for any help you can provide! I have no idea what's going on, and have been dealing with this for quite a while now. Would love to figur eout what's going on here. Thank you!

  2. Slow data transfer speed.

    Hi,

One of the possible reason that this issue occurs is due to the driver compatibility after Windows upgrade. For us to isolate the issue, we’ll need the following details:

    • What type of data transfer speed are you referring to? Is it internet connection speed or file transfer speed?
    • If you are referring to file transfer speed, are you using USB drive or Bluetooth to process file transfer? or,
    • If you are referring to internet connection speed, are you using Ethernet cable or Wi-Fi?
    • Can you tell us any troubleshooting you've done so far?

We'll be waiting for your response.

    Here's a quick laundry list:

List of software to use for overclocking and testing
    Examples:
Wattman (and how to find and use it, like an overview, including profiles)
Unigine Valley or Heaven (use this for quick testing while changing settings in Wattman and checking for stability / artifacts) ...just suggesting this
How to monitor cores / mem speeds and temps during testing (I've seen screen overlays, and others using GPUz)

    Step-by step overclocking in Wattman
    Fan speeds
    Power limit
    Temp limit
    Voltages

Why are all my transfer speeds horrible?

USB transfer speed restricted to 1MBps

    Hi,

Allow us to ask the following questions so we can properly address your concern:

    • What type of files were you trying to transfer?
    • When you say USB transfer speed, are you referring to the speed when transferring the files from that computer to another device, or the other way around?
    • Did you do any updates to your computer prior to this issue? Was it working fine before?

We will wait for your reply.

    Regards.
