Windows 10: Why are my 2 extra monitors appearing as a single one in Display settings?

Hello,I have just bought a 2nd monitor to use with my office laptop at home, now giving me 3 screens to work with.I have connected both monitors using a HDMI splitter as my laptop only has a single HDMI port.The second monitor is working fine but is not recognized as a third individual screen in Display Settings. Both monitors are considered as being a single one and display the same thing. See picturesNote that these 2 screens are not of the same brand but offer same resolution.When I bring my laptop to the office, I have access to the same type of setup and both extra monitors are listed i

No display on monitor when TV set as primary display

Issue solved

Removed DVI/HDMI cable from computer and monitor

Step 1: Check if the VGA monitor cable is defective.

1. Turn off computer
   
2. Connect the monitor VGA cable from the monitor to the VGA port on the computer
   
3. Turn on computer, VGA monitor cable is good.
   
   Step 2: Tun off computer
   

1. Connect HDMI Cable to HDMI port and TV
   
2. Turn on computer and TV, there is no monitor black screen
   
3. Click on the Windows logo, select the Settings icon , and then select
   
   System. Under Display there are two squares, labeled 1 and 2
   
   D Click on Advanced Display Settings:
   
   Display information: Display 1- Monitor Display 2 -TV
   
   E Right-click the Speakers icon in
   the taskbar, select Sound, click on Playback devices,

One Monitor running on a 2 monitor display, cant disable the second monitor. Help?

Hi,

If you can't access the Display settings, it means that it appears on the second monitor which you don't have. This happens if Windows is not back to the primary desktop.
