Windows 10: Why are my computer speakers no longer working?

Hi, all of a sudden my speakers on my laptop are not working. The volume is set to mute and I cannot adjust it. I do not use external speakers on my laptop, I never had an issue with the sound before and all of a sudden it just stopped working.

Speaker no longer works...

No... One workstation, specs as listed. It has an internal speaker. This speaker used to work, but it no longer does. It's a separate issue (I think??), so I made a separate post about it. I've gone through a few troubleshooting tips I saw online, but nothing has worked thus far. Thanks.

Sometimes it's easier to work through Control Panel. Choose: Sound, then choose whatever speakers your sound should be coming out of, and then click on "Set Default" This is from my desktop computer, so yours will look a bit different...

 

Windows 10 recognizes my UE Megaboom as a headset and not a speaker will not work?

I suggest you try the steps listed below and check if it works. This issue could be because of the Headphones BT SPEAKER Stereo being set as default. I suggest you to try the steps listed below and check if it works.

• Pair the speaker with your PC.
  
• Right click the Windows icon on the taskbar and choose
  Device Manager.
  
• Expand Sound, video, and game controllers
  and right click on your Bluetooth speaker (BT SPEAKER Stereo).
  
• Choose Disable and acknowledge the confirmation popup. Wait for the screen to refresh.
  
• Right click on the same device again and Enable.
  
• Exit Device Manager and see if the issue persist.
