Windows 10: Why are my folder icons and all files only displaying vertically in Onedrive?

All my icons and files have recently started displaying only in a vertical column, not across the screen as they used to. This is unbelievably annoying when scrolling through several thousand photos for example. If I choose the 'List' or 'Compact List' display option, everything disappears completely. They only display at all if I choose the 'Tile' display option. I have no idea what setting is causing this, if any. Any thoughts? Nothing is missing at all, the sync is fine and on my phone things display fine. On two different PCs they display vertically only. Cheers

Onedrive icons not displaying properly!


I have a very weird issue where the folder and file symbols associated with onedrive (sync, OK or ERROR symbols) are not displayed when navigating the onedrive folder on my PC. All the files and folders only display the sync symbol while the onedrive app in the taskbar shows that there are no files syncing.
The issue become even weirder when i manually navigate to my onedrive folder on my E drive --> E:\onedrive\. Here all the icons ARE displayed correctly. As seen in the image below, the only difference between the folders is the path, where one is directly linked as the onedrive folder, while the other is the actual path on my harddrive. Similarly, the library access in the sidebar also displays the symbol issue.



I've already been able to resolve the issue abit, seeing as previously my onedrive was constantly syncing unknown files and would never display the symbols correctly, however I'm now comletely stuck with this issue after forcing a full reinstall of onedrive and completely resyncing all my files.
Does anybody have any suggestions as to how to resolve this issue?

I understand your concern and suggest you to Unlink OneDrive and run OneDrive setup
again and check. Here is the steps:

• 
  Right-click the white OneDrive cloud icon in the notification area, at the far right of the taskbar.
  
  
  
  (You might need to click the Show hidden icons arrow next to the notification area to see the
  OneDrive icon.)
  
• 
  Click Settings, and then click Unlink.
  
• 
  Follow the steps in the Welcome to OneDrive wizard to set up OneDrive.

OneDrive stop displaying most icons I had in a folder

I have a folder on OneDrive where I keep some personal icons (and a few .gif and jpeg images). I also keep a copy of the OneDrive folder on my computer. Today I went to change an icon on a shortcut to one of the icons in my OneDrive file, and I found the icons in OneDrive On Line were not displayed. Only the non -.ico files displayed. This had worked perfectly in the past. All the icons display in the copy of the OneDrive file this is on my computer. This is the icon folder as displayed in OneDrive On-line:.

They used to look the same. - - - Updated - - - I'm having second thoughts about this. It is quite possible that I always looked at the "My Icons" folder in the OneDrive folder on my PC and not on-line. If that is the case it would explain everything. I don't know how I browsed to the on-line version from the properties/change icon window (if that is what I did *Shock). All I know is I did not have that folder set to "always keep on this computer" at the time., on that computer. Once the folder was on my computer, I was able to change the icon. I'm done thinking about it. My head is too full from trying to figure out other stuff. *Confused
