Windows 10: Why are my games incredibly laggy and have extremely low fps after the recent windows...

After the recent updates on 4/14 my games are actually unplayable and I cant seem to figure out what went wrong. I've tried driver updates, uninstalling specific windows updates, and resetting the pc of course.

Start with Step 4 to turn off Startup freeloaders which can conflict and cause issues, then Step 7 to check for infection the most thorough way, then step 10 to check for damaged System Files, and also Step 16 to test a new Local Admin account to replace yours which may be corrupted. Then if necessary continue with the other steps to go over your install most thoroughly.

Windows 10 and LOW FPS in games

Are you facing this issue with a particular game or with all games?

I suggest you to go into the games settings and check if the FPS is set to low. IF its low then change it into high.

Also see if the Monitor screen resolution matches the game screen resolution. You can check it by going into the setting of the game and check.
