Windows 10: Why are my PCs swapping desktop wallpaper?

I sign in to my pc at home with my Microsoft ID. Although set up with my ID my work pc signs in with a PIN.


Lately I'll come in to work, fire up my pc and behold, the desktop wallpaper is the image I have up on the one at home.


Then, I'll set it back to a different image for work but when I return home and fire up my home pc it now has the wallpaper I set up at work.


Why is this happening and how can I get it to stop?

Setting default users lets you specify the wallpaper on user's desktops and prevents other users from changing the image or its presentation. You can check these steps on how to set wallpapers from all users:

• Type run on the search bar and press Enter.
• On the window, type gpedit.msc and click OK.
• Locate and click Administrative Templates.
• Select Desktop > Desktop > Desktop Wallpaper.
• Tick Enabled, and name your wallpaper.
• Select Apply and click OK.

After performing the steps above, you may restart your PC.

You can personalize your desktop wallpaper by simply following the steps below:

• Press Windows key + I to open settings.
• Click Personalization.
• Click Background.
• Click Browse to open File Explorer.
