Windows 10: why are my text sizes not responding the way they should

My text and app sizes are all out of whack for seemingly no reason and despite my best efforts to correct this, my apps are not responding. I've tried all the solutions in "EASE OF ACCESS" but the problem persists on certain apps. The text size remains very small and I have to use the Zoom+ to be able to read.

When the problem first began, it wasn't my initiating the changes.

• Scroll down and click Advanced display settings.
• Scroll down and click Advanced sizing of text and other items.
• Under Change only the text size. Select the item you want to change in the drop-down list and choose the text size.
• Click on Apply.

Follow the steps to change the font size:

• Click on "Windows logo" and select "Settings".
• Select "System".
• You can change the font size here.

Follow the steps to go to Control Panel:

• Type "Control Panel" in the search bar.
