    Why are None of The Screenshots Displaying in Windows Steps Recorder Output File


    I used the windows steps recorder to capture the steps and screenshots of an issue I'm trying to submit to support for a program. After I stop the recording, everything displays fine including the screenshots. After I save it to a zip file, however, and then I open the zip file, all of the places where the screenshots should be displaying show broken image placeholders instead. Why aren't the screenshots showing?

    Steps Recorder doesn't save screenshots in generated zip file

    Title describes the problem. I tried recording some steps to reproduce a bug and found that the Steps Recorder itself does not actually save the screenshots anywhere, or at least not in the zip file it saves.

    Workaround: I can screenshot the displayed screenshots in the steps recorder window.

    Note: this is strangely ironic and very frustrating.
