    [SOLVED] Mail & Store show as white square icons in task bar

    Yes tried a disk cleanup today, rebooted and still the same. Interestingly now the icons in the start menu for mail and store are no longer white squares, they are blank document type icons. They still show as white squares in the task bar when running
    though.

    Have you also tried to do a Disk Cleanup? If not, we suggest you to perform Disk Cleanup to resolve the Windows icons with white square on this link:

    Why are some icons showing White squares?

    Desktop icons with blank square


    Installed W10 8 days ago
    Today after a restart some of my desktop icons have a white square in front of them
    I made the view on large icons , normaly i use smal then only the white square is showing
    I tryed an icon-cache-rebuild without success

    Solved by restoring a backup
