Windows 10: Why are some of my users accounts locking randomly?

We recently have been getting complaints about accounts locking out randomly and we have been doing some looking at event viewer and other resources but have not found anything that would really tell us what is locking the account. Is there anything that we can use that will help us identify what is causing this lock outs. We have also seen in event viewer that sometimes this accounts get locked out by the network access control system that we have in place, is there a way to fix this or what can we do to identify the actual cause.

Lock Screen Randomly Changes

I suggest you to go to the lock screen settings and disable the automatic lock screen change and check if the issue persist.

To test the issue I suggest you to create a new user account and restart the computer and check whether you can find other new user account.

I suggest you to create a new user account and check if the issue occurs.

• Go to Settings.
• Choose Accounts and then select Family and other users.
• Select add someone else on this PC.
• Enter a user name and hit next.
• Click on Finish.
• Sign out from the current Account and Log into the new account.

Remove account

I suggest you backup your personalized files first before removing the account.
To delete an account, follow these steps:

1. Press WIN + X keys and click Command Prompt (Admin) from the menu.
2. Type the following command and press Enter. Replace test with the name of your sister's account. Code:

 

Locked out of Win 10 account

All you need is a Windows 10 installation USB in order to use the procedure given in post #2.

If you do not have one of them then you will need to take your computer to somebody who does.

The procedure does not entail any use of the MSAccount reset / old mobile number / email reset.
