Why are some recent updates / KB#s not found in catalog.update.microsoft.com searches?

How come certain MS updates are not found in catalog.update.microsoft.com searches?

    For example, KB5000967 OR KB5000911 OR KB5000858 OR KB5000736

    That is:

    https://www.catalog.update.microsoft.com/Search.aspx?q=KB5000967

    returns

We did not find any results for "KB5000967"

Yet I think some of these updates are installed on my company's systems.

    :)

  2. Updates required has a different KB number in the Microsoft Catalog, why?

    Hi,

We are trying to have a 100% of compliance in the updates of our servers but in our reports we received the request to install some updates, when this updates are being checked in the "Microsoft Update Catalog" it appears but in the list to download the
KB numbers are different and the specified KB is not in the list.

There's a reason for this, how I know if the update is not necessary if is not in the Catalog or to confirm that the update is fully covered by a more new update?

    Examples of this are:

    4487121

    4487080

    4487256

Thanks in advance for any comments.

Download and Install Windows Update from Microsoft Update Catalog

    Another way:
Download WHDownloader (Windows Hotfix Downloader) 2.2
Unzip to desktop or where ever then run.

    1. Download the KB's list from catalog. Should run when starting the program to get the latest list.
    2. Select Office/Windows edition
    3. Put check mark(s) to select the KB's
    4. Download Updates.
NOTE: The KB's with huge file size are normally the cumulative updates from one version to next. If you are currently running 1607 then you'd need to run the KB for 1073 first then run the next one (1709), The rest of the KB's are security updates, Flash Updates etc...
