Windows 10: Why are some tasks running at 3:00 AM?

Windows 11 Pro, 23H2, OS build: 22631.2861Laptop is an ASUS ROG Strix with AMD Ryzen 7 6800HS.My problem is that there are some automated tasks that start running from 3:00 AM, apparently at least once weekly. I can tell this because the laptop is in my bedroom and I can hear the fan running the whole night after 3:00. In one week, there are nights when only IntelligentPwdlessTask is running and the fan doesn't start but there are other nights when a lot more tasks are started see a snapshot below. In those nights I can hear the fan running until 8-9:00 AM in the morning when I start worki

Window's Task Scheduler Not Running

To assist you better, kindly provide us more details by answering the following questions:

• Have you tried recreating the task? If so, are you getting the same issue?
• Have you tried creating a new task?

Meanwhile, we suggest that you ensure that the Task Scheduler is running. You can verify if the service is running by following these steps:

• Press Windows key + R on your keyboard.
• Type services.msc and hit Enter.
• Under Services (Local), make sure that the Task Scheduler service's status is
  Started or Enabled.

No restart button in task manager

another easy way to kill tasks, download and install Winaero Tweaker(free) and theres a setting to add a Kill non responding tasks using the desktop right click menu. When you place your cursor on the desktop anywhere and right click the option is at the top of the list, Very handy and you dont have to go through all those steps and well Winaero Tweaker has alot of cool Windows tweaks. Just posting a different suggestion, Im sure your ok with what was suggested here.

 

Window's Task Scheduler Not Running

Hello Everyone,

My problem is when I try and run a task in the task scheduler. I have a task set to run every 30 minutes for the majority of the day. The task is simply not running, example below.

When I created the task it was first set to run at 3:35:00 PM the day I made it.

The "Last Run Time" was at 11/30/1999 at 12:00:00 AM. Meaning it has not ran since creation. The trigger is enabled, the Status display's Ready.

The "Last Run Result" was "The task has not yet run. (0x41303)" The 0x41303 meaning it just has not run.

AFTER 3:35:00 PM:

The "Next Run Time" changed to 30 minutes later (4:05:00 PM) while the "Last Run Time" remains the same at 11/30/1999, 12:00:00 AM. The task is simply not running, while the next run time is updating and the last run result stays the same.

Any advice would be great! Thank you!
