Windows 10: Why are there 2 sliders? 1 from settings and, 1 from search "night light"app. the sliders...

I leave night night on all the time. The system is on all the time. Between using the system and not using the system, I turn the display off. When I return, I turn the display on and the night light is off bright screen. If I check the slider for the night light from the settings, system, display, night light settings, the slider is at 55%, where I set it. If I use search for night light and click the app. the slider is at 100%.

Night Light Slider Doesn't Stay On

Yes i can enable night light from the action center.

But I cannot seem to save any of the changes to the night light settings from the settings menu. In other words, after setting the scheduled time and i click away from the settings page, the night light settings resets and the slider for night light goes
back to off in the settings.

I've just purchased a HP-Envy 13 (2017 AD-029TU) running Windows 10 Home, OS Build 15063.332.

I seem to have a problem with the Night Light setting. When I turn on the Night Light Slider from Off to On in the Display settings, and navigate away from that page, the slider goes back to off again when I click on display. In other words, the Night Light
settings just don't seem to stay and resets to off.

Anyone else has that problem? Is this a HP issue, or just a glitch in Windows?
