Windows 10: Why are there 3 to 5 copies of everything that's backed up in the File History folder? And...

I am looking up what is taking up so much of my storage space. I have a 1TB internal M.2 PCIe NVMe 3.0 SSD and AND! a 2TB 2.5 SATA SSD and I just happened to notice that they're both getting filled up much faster than they should be considering I just got a 6TB external storage drive for my own backup solution as I am not at all happy with the results of cloud storage. I have lost tons of data because of these so called "solutions". I'm done with any of it. I'll keep what's left of what I had locally so that I'll know what's going on with my data. You can't copy a folder, thats why it generates an exception (you are trying to copy a folder using a copy file function).
You probably need to list all the files inside that folder and copy one by one

adding WSL home folder to file history to be backed up to NAS

To add your WSL home folder to the list of files backed up by File History, you will need to first include it in your Library then you can set it up to be backed up via File History. Here are the steps:

1. Find your WSL home folder in File Explorer. Right click on the folder and choose "Include in library" and then "Documents" library.
   
2. Type "Control Panel" in the search on your taskbar and hit enter to launch it. then go to "File History."
   
3. Click on "Exclude folders" and remove the folder you want to backup from the excluded list.
   
4. Save the changes and then click on Backup now.
